Ability to Recording high quality video or record in other software like OBS then use focusee editor

The recorded video quality is not good. Even when rendered in 4K/60FPS, the quality of the video movements isn't cool. I believe this is because of the web use to upload to Gemoo Cloud, but not all users want to use the cloud. I prefer a local render with high quality available. Maybe they call it “GPU Acceleration” or so. please support one of them (Recording from 3rd party or quality control recording)

ANAS, the main problem is not recording, but the compressed output from FocuSee. No matter how good quality video you import into FocuSee, the main damage happens when exporting it again. FocuSee needs to have user selectable exporting options for amount of compression, bit rate, fps, etc.
The current no-option video export is too heavy handed on compressing the video.
For verification simply check bit rate and fps on one of your exported 4K/60FPS videos by FocuSee.

It would be great if we could add an already recorded file into focusee and add the zoom effect to create a final output to get all focusee features.

This would take focusee to the next level and would really increase sales for sure. It's seriously needed.

Beginner Guide to High Quality Exports on Windows
Background
The developer has stated that screen Recording Resolution is based on input resolutions, in film and editing, your input should always be your highest capable.
- This means, don't record at 1080 and export @ 4k and expect native 4k That's just not how things work.
- For those on Macs with retina and or 4k, you have the benefit of a higher pixel density from the giving the illusion on an already high resolution display.
- For those on Windows you MUST use GPU scaling and not your monitors
(unless high end monitor), and then use or bypass the highest resolution to either 2k or 4k, to have the same Mac experience
THIS IS AN OS THING NOT ASSET
Though improvements are always a plus
High level overview
- Change your OS scaling from Monitor to GPU ( Your GPU will Scale to the custom res and super sample down to your monitors, This is extremely IMPORTANT, don't force your monitor to scale resolutions it cannot your GPU should handle it.
- Create a Custom Resolution Profile for 2k or 4k (If your monitor is 1080)
- Set your Windows Scaling in OS Display Settings ( 150% / 200% usually)
Record in Focusee, you'll now be recording in 2k or 4k instead of 1080
export in the resolution you recorded in.
= better overall quality.
Bonus
- This benefits native 1080 and native 2k
- You can further encode a 4k export to 1080, for different optimisations ( for my test I had a native 1080 2MB file compared to 4k encoded to 1080 @ 698KB with noticeable improvement.
The two images with wrapped yellow rendered from a 4k screen are the native 1080 recording and export and a 4k recording ( using the method) and encoded to 1080p, you can see the quality is already much improved between the two.
- A second set of screens shows how much the quality is kept from this method when zooming 2x, which is one of the initial issues i've seen people write up about.
It's just important to note how different MacOS and Windows are, especially with scaling.
Sadly i can't give you step by steps because this would go on forever, but congrats to those who see this, become enlightened and succeed.
If you're tech savvy:
- You can add DSR or RSR to improve it further with ML
- Create a .bat or .AHK to create a profile for when you want to record like this
ANAS
Ty Xanders the problem not with resolution but with the compression itself. the video lost it quality during the render and this is clearly for getting smaller size in the cloud. as stated.
Ty Xanders
ANAS , yes for file storage I can imagine the cloud set up has a more aggressive codec compression. It may well be the codecs compression algorithm isn't greater in general ( ie it should be replaced with a better one) or the compression generally is too aggressive.
Which explains why we can record higher and compress ourselves getting a better quality that if you were to just use it as an AIO solution.
In all cases though, 2k recording and export > 1080 encode, should be a large improvement over 1080 native AIO.
If the use case genuinely exceeds that like 4 > 2k should work again.
But I think it's possible that people want native in, native out and native cloud, which I don't think is going to happen.
Exploring codecs for local storage, if it improves the use case. Sure, I guess there's a chance, cloud storage is still at mercy of optimisation for storage and delivery mind.

Before adding new features. Fix bugs. (ZOOM problems, flickering cursor, no fluidity, poor image quality, BASIC CURSOR BECOMES FLOUDY IF PUSHED TOO MUCH...)

Especially after zooming in, the video quality is very poor. I hope to be on par with ScreenStudio.

Indeed, I am an educational video blogger. After using this software to record two videos, my fans have reported that the videos are not clear and do not match the quality of those I recorded with Bandicam previously.

Leon Dong Yeah, and I'm creating product showcases. I think the Focused team didn't realize their product is much more useful as a YouTuber's tool than just sharing a low-quality video!
AFAIK This is the only tool available on windows offering auto zoom functions and sadly they didn't prioritize RAW recording for local files!
Jonathan Rice
Yes please, improving quality / avoiding compression would be awesome!
